Luke meets Yoda...

I recently had a coaching session with drumming legend Ash Soan. Previous to meeting Ash, I had never seen him play drums... I had however (this probably extends to you) heard him drum.

For instance he recently had 3 top 10 albums; #1 with Adele, #5 with Cee Lo and a #8 with Eliza Doolittle

I won't brown nose and give you a definite history of Ash, but you can find all your answers here: www.ashsoan.com

Another drummer asked what I got out of the session as I was the one who had to ask the questions etc. Well, I got a whole load of self confidence back.

Most Wanted #4

THAT advert with all the drummers... Yes, THAT one...

From THAT advert I found Paul Stanley McKenzie (again) but grown up! Who'd a thought! A fantastic drummer that encompasses alot of what I love about drumming.

I've recently had some new headshots done, they do look rather good, well they look good the actual subject matter is another discussion...

The artist is local photographer Justyna Neryng who works from her studio in East Sussex. It was a pleasure working with her and as I've never really had professional photos done before it was a relief to find it was nothing like The Model Agency... She has some amazing photos, which can be seen at the following sites:

Also updated is my Youtube channel, it has new videos of me playing for Hold Fire, as there drummer Steve is currently out of action with a broken wrist.

Thats it for now, follow the blog if you like what you see/hear/read.
